Weng Tonghe was an important historical figure in the late Qing Dynasty, holding a prominent position in the political arena. Weng Tonghe was a significant participant in a series of major changes during the late Qing Dynasty. Weng Tonghe was passionate about calligraphy, painting, and literature throughout his life. He was skilled in writing poetry, occasionally creating paintings and works, and was particularly renowned for his book titles. His calligraphy style relies on Yan style calligraphy to create and transform.

This couplet has a steady and steady structure, with the center using a pen that exudes a sense of composure. Vertical painting is thicker, horizontal painting is thinner than vertical painting, such as "scholar" and "talent", which are rich in variation. The character 'when' tilts up and down, showing a rich variation in the overall square shape, which is eye-catching. Overall, it gives a sense of stability and contains a sense of jumping in stillness, making its works calm but not stiff, with a straight form, connected qi, and continuous flow.
