Within an inch, one can see a thousand years. Cultural relics carry the silent history, while museums are the guardians, inheritors, and recorders of this history. At the beginning of its establishment, Hai'an Museum focused on its own positioning and carried out cultural relic collection work around the development history of Hai'an city and the cultural relics of local elites. In recent years, with the concern and support of leaders at all levels and various sectors of society, the Hai'an Museum has added more than 100 pieces (sets) of collections through organizational solicitation, social donations, and other channels, covering various categories such as calligraphy and painting, ceramics, and miscellaneous items. This has profound significance for improving the collection system and recording the urban transformation of Hai'an.

The local area is prosperous and talented people are emerging. Hai'an, a land of spiritual beauty, has a profound cultural heritage and a long history. In modern times, the wise people of Hai'an have shone like stars, with a broad vision of the world, and have made great contributions to the inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture. It is worth observing and examining in future generations. The "Ink Rhyme Sea Breeze - Collection of Modern and Contemporary Xiangxian Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition" launched this time has selected more than 50 works of local and surrounding Xiangxian in recent years, including works by Han Guojun, two governors of Jiangsu Province during the Republic of China period, works by Tan Zuoyun, Tan Shaoyun, and Tan Xiaoyun, known as the "Three Tan" of Hailing, as well as works by mid to late period Haipai painters such as Zhu Nanjin, Fan Geng'an, Deng Huainong, and Yuan Songmin. Exhibiting works or calligraphy that combine form and spirit, are both ancient and powerful, or paintings that are graceful and elegant, and continue to promote the past and present, is a retrospective and exhibition of traditional calligraphy and painting art, as well as a sincere tribute to the culture of one's hometown.
