“Han residence”introduction

Han Guojun's former residence, known as "Han residence", is owned by Mr. Han Guojun, who served as governor of Jiangsu Province during the period of the Republic of China. Han residence is located at No. 58-8, Ninghai North Road, Hai'an city. In 2013, it was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council and a national "AAAA" scenic spot.

An expert on the history of the Republic of China said, "we can't write the history of the Republic of China without Jiangsu, and we can't write Jiangsu without Han Guojun." Han Guojun (1857-1942), Zishi, was born in Hai'an town, Jiangsu Province. He has successively served as Anhui patrol envoy and governor of Jiangsu Province. He is an honest and diligent official, cares about the hardships of people's livelihood, advocates industry, prospers the Huaihe River, and improves agriculture and industry. During the war of resistance against Japan, with his 84 year old body in the opposition, he ran around and called for "uniting with the outside world and mopping up the enemy atmosphere", refused to take a false post, firmly protected the evening Festival, and was surrounded by the enemy until he died unyielding. He was 85 years old. Chen Yi called it "a model of the national war of resistance against Japan".

"Han residence" was built in the 32nd year of Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906). It covers an area of 8500 square meters and a construction area of nearly 2000 square meters. It is a group of well preserved buildings of the late Qing Dynasty, with small green bricks and tiles, four entrances to the hall, veranda, corridors and porches, and fire lane corridors. The years have sharpened and the wind and rain have washed away the dust. There is no luxury that its owner once was a senior official of the two dynasties, nor the falling extension of "my old friend has gone by the Yellow Crane". It is like an extreme fairy with high morality and profound education. The wind can't move, the rain can't shake, and it becomes one in silence.

When you walk into the Han residence, you can see the site of the joint anti Japanese symposium that makes precious historical moments permanent, the nanmu hall, an ancient building that is hard to see in your life, the Centennial Huangyang bonsai once displayed on the desk of Han Guojun, the "king of Magnolia", which has been more than 170 years old and has been amazed by articles published in Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po, all of which make people think of the ancient beauty and respect it in awe!
